Bring empty plastic bottles(don’t worry if you have none),
Be creative for an hour or so
Recycle, Create, Go mad!

Liz McGowan lives in North Norfolk. Her work explores the ephemeral nature of our world.  Drawing inspiration from the landscape of North Norfolk, her work engages in a conversation with the details and the processes that combine to make a place what it is at any one time.

 “I am interested in promoting and facilitating multi-sensual  conversations between groups of people and the worlds they inhabit.  I am also part of Norfolk County Council’s Artists for Climate Change programme”.

Liz has participated in all six of Bergh Apton’s Sculpture Trails and strengthened the village’s creative instincts with wide-ranging & challenging workshops

So, we have reached a critical stage.

Your presence is really needed whether you’ve acted or not (& might like to give it a try), especially if you are from
Framingham Pigot, Alpington, Yelverton, Bergh Apton, Thurton, Ashby St Mary, Carleton St Peter, Claxton, Hellington,
Rockland St Mary, Bramerton, Surlingham & Kirby Bedon,
to take part in the First Read through
Please do try to be there.

The evening, with Hugh Lupton & David Farmer, the acclaimed Stage Director, will involve reading the play &
getting a clearer idea of what roles will be offered to whom.David Farmer
We are looking for as many as 50 actors!!!

You may have indicated an interest already or you may have heard nothing about the Plays at all.
You may even have said you have no interest. In which case I would be grateful if you would reconsider.
But your help would be greatly appreciated to put together a fun, enjoyable set of plays. WE are getting there.

Please let us know if you can be there & we will send a copy of the script in plenty of time.
You needn’t memorise it but you might like to have read it by 22nd, altho’ you don’t have to.

BERGH APTON MYSTERY PLAYS
‘THE LEGEND OF THE ROOD’

SATURDAY 25 JANUARY
BERGH APTON VILLAGE HALL
1000 -1500

A workshop with Georgina Warne to make ‘masks’ of the creatures which will enter Noah’s Ark during the second play.
This is a free workshop and is open to those living in the ‘11Says’ parishes.
This is a free workshop so come in at any time but preferably not later than 2 o’clock.
Materials will be provided but if you have any fabrics, feathers, ribbons and coloured string from Christmas , wool (for a lion’s mane perhaps) do bring them along. Bring scissors but mark them as yours in some way.
We are basing the ‘masks’ on creatures from Mediaeval Beasteries. If you have any pictures it would be helpful.
So come and make a fantastic and fabulous ‘mask’.
Come and be part of this unusual and unique event.
