Next steps

Interested Parties will have the opportunity to make more detailed representations, known as Written Representations, at a later stage in the Examination process, together with the opportunity to participate in Examination hearings.

The Pre-Examination stage usually takes around three months, after which the Examination will start and last up to six months. PINS will publish more details once they are confirmed.

A final decision on the Scheme is expected in 2027.  If you do not want to register as an Interested Party but you do want updates on the Scheme, you can do so via: https://national-infrastructure-consenting.planninginspectorate.gov.uk/projects/EN0110014/get-updates/start
