It’s 125 years since our wonderful Norman & Beard organ arrived in Bergh Apton church.
Join our celebration at an organ recital by renowned organist, Richard Bower, director of Music at the Church of St Nicholas, Dereham, Norfolk.
As well as being a superb musician and a graduate from the Royal College of Music, Richard also repairs, refurbishes and builds organs of all types, and was pivotal in bringing our instrument up to the mark in the millenium year – after which he performed a celebratory recital.

saturday 16th August, a concert by the Norwich City Concert Band, Bergh Apton Church, NR15 1BX
Norwich City Concert Band (NCCB) has been a part of the East of England’s music landscape since 1997.Originally founded by four members of a local wind ensemble who enjoyed playing together they saw a opportunity to bring together like-minded musicians.
They now have a band that comprises over 50 regular players (no, the church can’t accommodate all of them!!) whose enthusiasm and dedication has resulted in the band performing hundreds of concerts to a very high standard and rewarding the community with great music!
You can expect to hear a full symphonic wind ensemble with a wide repertoire ranging from marches, films & TV themes, songs from the Shows to Last Night of the Prom favourites, and much more.
